Sydney, Australia — December 2025 – Professional Audio & Television Pty Ltd (PAT) is excited to announce the launch of the PATVAN, an innovative mobile demonstration and training platform designed to bring PAT’s cutting-edge technology solutions directly to customers — wherever they are.
Developed with flexibility and customer experience in mind, the PATVAN features a modular design, allowing the internal configuration to be easily adapted to suit a wide range of applications — from proof-of-concept systems and product demonstrations, to training sessions and product launch events.
The concept for the PATVAN was born out of the desire to elevate the customer experience, offer undivided attention and bespoke demonstration possibilities, while engaging with technicians, engineers, managers and key decision makers at the customers facility. This not only elevates the exposure of quality products to users, influencers and key decision makers, but also minimises the customers expense to travel staff to tradeshow or industry events, while providing a fully working and integrated system without time wasted on setup at the customer’s site.
“We realised that at large tradeshows, it was becoming harder to have meaningful, quality time with potential customers,” said Patrick Salloch, Managing Director of Professional Audio & Television. “Everyone’s competing for attention, and it’s difficult to really engage in detailed technical discussions or demonstrate complex systems properly. The PATVAN allows us to take the time, go directly to our customers, giving them a hands-on experience on their turf and on their schedule.”
Beyond its modular design, the PATVAN acts as a mobile showcase for PAT’s world-leading manufacturer partners, including LAWO, ARISTA, ERECA, Meinberg, Ross Video, Angry Audio, StudioHub, Boland Communications, Bolin Technology, CyanView, Densitron, ENCO, Genelec and Nixer. Inside, visitors can experience integrated solutions demonstrating the latest content production technology, including IP switch fabric, processing and control systems, while the latest in human interface technology highlights advanced and easy to follow production workflows — all configured as a real-world, functional live content production biome.
“Our manufacturer partners have been incredibly supportive of the PATVAN concept,” Salloch continued. “It provides a powerful, real-world opportunity for us to demonstrate how their technologies communicate and fit into a customer’s ecosystems. It’s one thing to see a product video, a brochure or a PowerPoint — it’s another to see it running live, connected, and part of a working system you can interact with.”
Mike Heard, PAT’s Head of Technology in Australia and New Zealand, spoke further on the vision for the future, “We have worked very hard at PAT to be able to offer the Broadcast and ProAV sectors, exposure, and hands on experience to some of the best and most trusted technology around. Although technical sign-off and purchasing power is often made at the top, it is the hard-working team of men and women on the ground that have the know-how and can-do attitude that supports our industry, and that is why in 2026 we are taking the tech to the people and giving exposure to those that want it.”
The PATVAN represents PAT’s ongoing commitment to innovation, service, and collaboration. Its modular interior enables quick reconfiguration to highlight different technologies or workflows, ensuring every visit is tailored to the customer’s specific needs. The PATVAN has already been booked in for customer visits during the first quarter of 2026, bringing the latest in broadcast and content production technology to confidential locations across New South Wales and beyond.
